Austin and I have been talking about going on a vacation for several months now. While talking about this trip we mentioned to several of our good friends and they too were ready for a vacation. I met with a travel agent here in Atoka and she gave us some great options in the Dominican Republic. So on February 4th we all left on a jet plane to the Caribbean. There were four couples including us, Dustin and Regina, Shannon and Griff, and Clay and Rachel.
We had a great flight there and the weather was perfect. We were all so excited to get away from reality!!! We all went to dinner that night and toasted to great friends and to a week full of memories. The first day we all got up and ate breakfast, which was always wonderful and went to the pool. the pools were so nice and the drinks were wonderful. The service was excellent, they went above my expectations!!
We relaxed most of the week but we booked a private catamaran tour towards the end of our trip and it was amazing!!! We had this big boat all to ourselves, I felt like Kenny Chesney!!!! They took us snorkeling, took us to a private beach where a native knocked a coconut down from a tree and made us a very STRONG drink!! They also cooked us an amazing lunch, the best we had all week! This boat trip was the absolute best excursion we have ever went on!! This vacation was much needed and was absolutely amazing!!!!!! We have some pretty wonderful friends!!!!!
