In December Aus was diagnosed with Lyme disease and the closest Dr that will treat it is in Mobile, Alabama. He had an appointment coming up on Monday so we decided to make a weekend trip since it is so far to drive in one day. We had debated back and forth on when to leave and finally decided to pack up and leave around lunch on Friday. Once we started out we weren't sure how far Mize would ride so we made plans to stop in New Orleans the first night. I had never been so I was looking forward to it. Mize did very well with the ride so as soon as we got to our hotel we were starving. We weren't far from Bourbon Street so we went there for dinner. Mize and I had our first experience with Bourbon Street. Of course it was crowded and it isn't a place for a 15 month old but I guess when he gets older he will probably think it was pretty cool! There was music playing so Mize had fun dancing while Aus and I just laughed. The next morning we got up and headed towards Mobile and went on to Pensacola and stayed on the beach. The weather was beautiful for this time year. We took him to beach but he was trying to get in the ocean but the water was too cold. There actually were a few people swimming and surfing but to me that was just out of the question. Mize also got to go swimming in the indoor pool, he played on the playground and got to walk out on a long pier. I think we all had a blast but was worn out by Monday.
